We’re exceedingly lucky now to have legal access to Chinese Medicine. Over 30 years ago it was illegal to practice in North America. Time always has a way of shifting things.

In order to practice TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) one must be registered with the regulatory college in British Columbia, The College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) www.cchpbc.ca. The CCHPBC is just like the College of Physicians and Surgeons, it regulates all facets of practice under the legislated Health Professionals Act.

Acupuncturist (R.Ac.), Herbalist, (R.TCM.H), Practitioner (R.TCM.P), or Doctor of Traditional Chinese medicine (Dr.TCM) a practitioner must be registered with CCHPBC. See the link www.cchpbc.ca for the educational standards.

Interior TCM Acupuncture Clinic along with the teachings of TCM treats every person as an individual and helps a person adjust to changes their body is experiencing due to many influences, external and internal.

Combining strengths from medicines around the world we can achieve great changes, as Aristotle said “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.

Every medicine around the world stands on its own merits and has its own unique involvement treating a person. We may not understand or speak the same language to describe something; nonetheless the goal of all of us is the same; restore to health and being well.
